Claire Hellawell

Claire has a passion for people and a belief that everyone has the ability to be anything that they want to be.

To motivate and inspire others to be the best they can be is the reason Claire has worked with children and families for the last 21 years. Claire is a creative trainer, with her subject knowledge gained over 20 years of experience of working with families with multiple and complex needs.

Claire has worked for a large Local Authority’s homeless service, empowering and supporting homeless people to successfully resettle back into the community.

For the last nine years, Claire has mentored and supported other practitioners to deliver high quality training to parents and carers who have been identified as in need of parenting support to prevent family breakdown. As part of her role, Claire also delivered workforce development training to upskill frontline practitioners.

Claire has designed and developed training to enable children and families to begin to make positive changes and prevent statutory interventions from being needed. She is an accredited facilitator for the Freedom Programme and other parenting programmes.

Currently, Claire works in specialist residential services for children who have experienced sexual abuse, neglect or trauma. Her role includes supporting positive behaviours, coaching and mentoring and safeguarding the young people in her care.

Claire holds QTLS status and has a Certificate in Education (Teacher Training in the Lifelong Learning Sector) and a Diploma of Higher Education in Social Care.
